From 2025, companies will be allowed to transmit receipts telematically without physical cash registers. This builds upon the 2019 introduction of electronic receipts and telematic registers, marking a significant step towards modernizing fiscal compliance.
The new regulations will enable businesses to choose software solutions like SIGN IT, instead of relying solely on physical point-of-sale (POS) systems (RT). This shift offers greater flexibility and reduces operational costs.

SIGN IT is a 100% cloud-based solution designed to meet Italy's latest tax compliance requirements. It eliminates the need for dedicated hardware and streamlines tax management through a seamless API integration.
A transition from hardware to software: SIGN IT Lite
While the new cloud-based tax regulations are expected to be approved in Italy in the coming months, fiskaly offers SIGN IT Lite as a bridge solution. Already available, SIGN IT Lite allows businesses to automate transaction submissions to the Italian tax authority, Agenzia delle Entrate (AdE), provided their billing systems are online.
In this interim phase, SIGN IT Lite acts as a connector with the AdE portal, automating data entry that would otherwise be manual, simplifying compliance without additional hardware. Moreover, by adopting SIGN IT Lite, businesses can prepare for Italy’s upcoming fiscal digitalization, as the API integration will already be in place.
